I’ve always thought we should buy American.. I’m not sure how much boycotting AB locally would do - but I’m willing to broaden my horizons and try different local beers.

The AB takeover by InBev is just another nail in the coffin for St. Louis. I think we are in dire straits folks and a boycott is something that we, the “little people,” can do. I am very worried that St. Louis is going down the tubes. I don’t see how we can change anything in this country unless we boycott certain products or industries. Politicians are getting too many kick-backs. There are too many lobbyists lining Washington pockets. We have watched Congress year after year tell the oil companies that they just make too much money, but it’s all talk. They are just putting on a show for the public so that you will think they are doing something. We got rid of our second car and try to plan our driving carefully to cut back on our gas use. We are not going on a vacation this year, nor are we planning on flying anywhere anytime soon. I think that boycotting is our only hope to change the minds that supposedly represent us on Capitol Hill.

Boycotting Ab products may be just what this area needs. Maybe by boycotting Busch and buying local beer we will create jobs in the brewing industry. Maybe by boycotting Cardinals games Ballpark Village will become more than a mud pit that people put fake ducks in to take funny pictures. Maybe the Cardinals will even keep it cleaned up and nice-looking without the insistence of the city. Maybe the rest of the country will take notice and maybe things will change nation-wide. Maybe Boeing will get the contract to make American tankers for our Air Force instead of using a European company. Maybe St. Louis can become the catalyst of a movement that will cause the American people to wake up and put their money where their mouth resides - in America.

all info i found shows in-bev is just like any others company. MONEY. history will repeat it self. when a company takes over another the current employees a are dismissed to be replaced with there own employees. i buy a 30 pack a day of Busch and now decided to join the boycott..
i join the boycott because the family of late AUGGEST BUSCH has sold out and with the help of mayor slay. glad there pocket book is full,,, for now., when toy are broke and down on your luck you have to rely on REAL FRIENDS.
truth, no friends for the BUSCH family now or the slay family here in SAINT LOUIS.
    treason will not be forgotten.

i have those that support this. 2 people alone will put over 7,00 a month into other companies..this is a fact. myself and one other. now what about others?
one question , why did the governor on public talk to in-bev after Anthe media asked why he did not before hand.
i wonder now,,, how many employees will be out of work and how many more will become homeless. i hope not in the city of saint Louis because the mayor here says that money is going to shelters but trueth is money is given to the developers that force people out of there homes and on the street.

I WAS A DEVOTED AB FAN. NATURAL LIGHT EVERYDAY. I EVEN BOUGHT SOME STOCK IN THE COMPAY, BEFORE ALL OF THIS BULL $H!#. I WAS PROUD TO OWN A SMALL PIECE OF OUR GREASTEST AMERICAN COMPANY. BUT NO MORE. I WILL NOT DRINK A FOREIGN BEER. I AM PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN AND I DRINK AMERCAN BEER. AND I AM NOT THE ONLY ONCE LOYAL BUDWEISER FAN, WHO WILL STAND FOR A COMPANY THAT DOES NOT RESPECT THE VOICE OF THE AMERCAN PEOPLE, AND NOT SUPPORT ANOTHER ATTEMPT TO STRIP OUR GREAT COUNTRY OF ITS SOUL.

in-bev is just a company that wants to make money. AB family is a sell out, i think benedict Arnold comes to mind. sell out of this comes to all attention. the living family of Busch wants money now and thinks like Paris Hilton or all the children of rich business owners, some owes them for their hardship and such…etc…. but if they were in control of the money then things would be different. reality will come, the Busch family fight over the money and citizens will still buy beer ,now they get no money from that,,,oops bad call, now MANY emails and such have been sent to other U.S.A. beer manufacturers. make a beer close to Busch and budweiser and they have our sales. those i know have switched to a milwaukee based product.

Everyone should also boycott A-B’s partner-company Bacardi. They deserve your protest as much as A-B

if you morons boycott, the only ones you are hurting is the workers. There will be layoffs and the bright individuals that you are will be in part to blame….

  • 11 jfac // Nov 15, 2008 at 12:25 am

the layoffs are coming anyway now. it seems. without our help.i just waited to see what would happen when the hand was done. now we see the begening of the true colors of all parties. i buy a 30 pack a day. some days i buy an extra 12 pk. busch. it is between 3 different kinds now. i do this for the workers.
